PULLMAN — Washington State has its man.
The Cougars are hiring Kirby Moore as their next head football coach, a source confirmed to The Spokesman-Review on Friday, ushering in a new era of WSU football.
ESPN was the first to report the news.
A native of nearby Prosser, Moore is coming from Missouri, where he worked as offensive coordinator for each of the past three seasons. He played wide receiver for Boise State from 2009-2013, then started his coaching career at Idaho, where he worked with the Vandals’ wide receivers in 2014. Moore then spent the 2015 and 2016 seasons at Washington, working as a graduate assistant and offensive assistant.
This is the first head coaching job for Moore.
