Police are investigating an acid attack in Georgia where a woman was left with chemical burns, officials said.
The incident unfolded just after 8 p.m. Wednesday near W. Walburg Street and Whitaker Street near Forsyth Park in Savannah.
First responders found an adult woman suffering chemical burns to her skin. She was treated at the scene then transferred to Memorial Hospital in stable condition.
Police said an adult male, who was not known to the victim, approached her and attacked her with a “liquid chemical.”
