Wilfried Nancy yesterday revealed he has taken on board training ground feedback from his Celtic players about the new system and tactics which he has introduced since being appointed manager last week and plans to “slow down” the pace of change going forward.
The Parkhead club slumped to a 2-1 defeat at home to William Hill Premiership leaders Hearts in Nancy’s first game in charge on Sunday and then lost 3-0 to Roma of Italy in a Europa League league phase match in the East End of Glasgow on Thursday night.
The 3-4-3 formation which the Frenchman favours has malfunctioned badly at times in those outings and the Scottish champions’ opponents have been gifted scoring opportunities which they have capitalised on.
