An Arkansas electric company is planning on building a new distribution center in Boonville.

COR Development announced in a news release it is partnering with Industrial Warehouse & Distribution Group and Arkansas Electric Cooperatives, Inc. Utility Solutions to build the new distribution center.

Arkansas Electric Cooperatives is building the new facility to provide efficient access to utility supplies, and enhance support for electrical cooperatives and public power providers in the region, according to the news release.

The 50,000 square foot warehouse will be located on eight acres in Boonville.

The cooperative provides infrastructure materials and equipment to electric utilities across 5 states.
