A 13-year-old student at Horizon Middle School in Moorhead was arrested Thursday for allegedly possessing illegal drugs.

The arrest occurred after a fellow student reported the juvenile had an extensive drug collection to school staff, who then notified local law enforcement.

Moorhead police say they found 1,500 blue pills containing fentanyl, according to a field test. Samples have been sent to a lab to find out just how much fentanyl is in the pills. The teen is being held at the West Central Juvenile Detention Center.
