Oregon will have a key piece back on its interior defensive line in 2026.

Ducks defensive tackle Bear Alexander announced he will be returning for senior season.

“This isn’t just football - this is healing, I have grown TREMENDOUSLY in my short time in Eugene,” Alexander wrote via X . “And I can’t wait to see me as a finished product NEXT YEAR. LETS RUN IT BACK DUCKS FAMILY. Love Yall Sco Ducks”

Alexander has 45 tackles (six for loss) with .5 sacks and one pass breakup this season. He was a second team all-Big Ten honoree by both the league’s coaches and AP.

Alexander is the first draft-eligible player to announce his return to UO next season. With him returning, Oregon is projected to have 89 scholarship players, including 10 interior defensive linemen.
