Syracuse, N.Y. — Redshirt-freshman wide receiver Jaylan Hornsby will enter the transfer portal, according to 247 Sports .

Hornsby started three games this season and caught eight passes for 103 yards and a touchdown.

The six-foot, three-inch receiver is listed at 215 pounds and will have three seasons of eligibility remaining. He finished his Syracuse career with 10 catches, 124 yards and a touchdown in 15 games.

Hornsby came to Syracuse as a three-star wide receiver out of Winslow Township (New Jersey). He was a composite top-10 recruit in the state in the Class of 2024.

Hornsby was a First Team All-Conference selection in his junior year of high school. He was Second Team All-State. Hornsby also led Winslow Township to a sectional championship and was a four-time team captain.
