Chief Deputy District Attorney Jennifer Karapetian, with the Santa Barbara County District Attorney’s Office , was named Attorney of the Year by the Santa Barbara Women Lawyers for her contributions to the legal profession and the community.

A release from the district attorney's office congratulating Karapetian notes that she has served with distinction at the District Attorney’s Office for 15 years, prosecuting some of the county’s most complex criminal cases.

Karapetian has prosecuted cases involving sexual assault, domestic violence, human trafficking, child abuse, and homicide.

The DA says that her skill, integrity, and commitment to justice have long earned her the respect of colleagues, the court, and the community.
