The Texas Rangers have agreed to one year contracts with righthanded reliever Alexis Diaz and lefthanded reliever Tyler Alexander, per reports. This news broke literally as I hit publish on the post regarding the Rangers agreeing to a deal with Danny Jansen. No financial terms on the deals with the pitchers, which I assume are major league deals, and for probably not a whole lot more than the league minimum.
Diaz, 29, came up with the Cincinnati Reds, and had three successful seasons for them in the pen from 2022-24 before having an awful 2025 season which saw him put up an 8.15 ERA in 17.2 IP for the Reds, Dodgers and Braves.
