Meghan Markle and Prince Harry could see a major change to their lives in Montecito after one of their celebrity neighbours has sold a chunk of her estate for £12.8m [$17.2m]. The couple have lived in California since 2020 , having moved there with their son, Prince Archie , after stepping down from royal life.

Just a year after their move, Meghan and Harry welcomed their daughter, Princess Lilibet, in June 2021. American host and television producer Oprah Winfrey is said to be close friends with Harry and Meghan, having previously expressed that she was "100 per cent in support" of her Montecito neighbours after their move to the US.

Harry, Meghan and their children could soon see some changes to the local area as Oprah sells part of her own Montecito estate .
