For the sixth time this year, the Howard Payne Yellow Jackets reached triple figures in points, improving to 9-3 overall with a 103-82 home victory over Centenary Friday night at the Brownwood Coliseum.
The Yellow Jackets – who led 52-41 at halftime – shot 56 percent (34 of 61) from the floor, sank 11 three-pointers, and converted 83 percent (24 of 29) of their free throws.
Scoring for Howard Payne were Armonie Ramey with 27 points, Ben Phillip with 21, Trey Jackson with 15, Jordan McClendon with 12, Avant Coleman with eight, Jackson Tomlin, Jamie Puentes, and Nathan Scott with five apiece, and Braylon Crosby with four points.
