IOWA CITY (KWWL) -- The top center in the country resides in Iowa City. Hawkeye senior Logan Jones was named the winner of the Rimmington Trophy on Friday night during ESPN's College Football Awards show.

“It is an absolute honor to be recognized as this year’s Rimington Trophy recipient," Jones said. "It’s humbling to join the great winners who came before me. I want to thank Coach Ferentz, my head coach; Coach Barnett, my position coach; and most of all, my teammates—especially my fellow offensive linemen. I would not be here without them.”

The center with the most-first team votes combined on the Walter Camp Foundation, Sporting News, and Football Writers Association of America All American Teams is awarded the honor.
