CHENEY, Wash. - The Eastern Washington Eagles (2-8) couldn't overcome a tremendous performance from the Cal Baptist Lancers' (8-3) Dominique Daniels Jr., falling 88-83.
The Eags opened the game on an impressive 13-4 run, but they faltered after great Lancers shooting pulled them back. This comes despite EWU shooting 50% from three on the night and limiting turnovers.
Cal Baptist saw three starters play all 40 minutes, including Daniels Jr. and Martel Williams who added 23 points.
Isaiah Moses paced EWU with 23 points of his own, adding six assists on top.
Eastern now gears up for the 509 Classic at Spokane Arena against Washington State next Wednesday.
