Throughout Jordan Pickford’s illustrious career, he has been involved in some of the most heated derbies in world football. The Everton keeper has featured in 20 Merseyside derbies against Liverpool but when asked how that compares with Newcastle vs Sunderland , there is only one winner.

In a quickfire social media interview for Rising Ballers comparing the two showpiece ties, the 31-year-old responded with no hesitation: “Tyne-Wear, Wear-Tyne”.
