The National Weather Service issued a winter weather advisory at 2:27 a.m. on Saturday valid from 10 p.m. until Sunday 1 p.m. for Suffolk County.
The weather service states to be ready for, "Total snow accumulations between 3 and 5 inches."
"Roads, and especially bridges and overpasses, will likely become slick and hazardous," describes the weather service. "Slow down and use caution while traveling. Check local Department of Transportation information services for the latest road conditions."
