Jammu, Dec 13: Border Security Force (BSF) personnel on Friday foiled an infiltration attempt from across the Line of Control (LoC) in the Pargwal sector of Jammu and Kashmir and detained a militant along with arms and ammunition, officials said.
The detained individual was identified as Abdul Khaliq, a resident of the Darhal area in Rajouri district, who is suspected to have links with the Pakistan-based terror outfit Jaish-e-Mohammad. Police sources said Khaliq had crossed over to Pakistan-occupied Kashmir in 2021 and was attempting to re-enter Indian territory when he was apprehended.
