According to a series of recent polls and election results, the president risks losing voters he won in the 2024 presidential election, a development that could prove costly.

Why It Matters

Latino voters are a key voting block who traditionally lean Democratic. But according to Pew Research Center, Trump increased his share of Latino voters from 36 percent in 2020 to 48 percent in 2024.

While Trump is not on the ballot, maintaining this support will be important for the Republican Party when voters head to the midterm elections in 2026.
