REGIS LE Bris has backed Simon Adingra to bounce back from his African Cup of Nations disappointment and go on to become a "great player" for Sunderland.
Adingra was voted as the Best Young Player at the last AFCON tournament but was this week left out of the Ivory Coast squad for this year's competition, which gets underway next week.
It's a blow for the 23-year-old and follows an underwhelming start to life on Wearside after his summer move from Brighton.
