After a scoreless first period, Lovell broke the deadlock in the second with power-play tallies, assisted by Andrew Bremer and Thomas Friedland on the first and Hudson Krankel and Bremer on the second.

Paramus (1-2) battled back in the final frame. Derek Bellin, assisted by Eric Cadou, cut the deficit to 2-1 before Ryan Lemanowicz knotted the score at 2-2.
