Julio Cesar Nevarez-Erunez, 24, and Juan Niebla-Osuna, 28, of Downey pleaded guilty to federal drug charges.

Nevarez-Erunez appeared in court last week and received nearly six years in prison, but authorities say Niebla-Osuna fled months ago while out on bond.

Court filings show the men were caught with large amounts of meth and fentanyl, which federal investigators suspect was supplied by the Sinaloa cartel.

One appeared last week in a Sacramento courtroom to learn his fate.

The other has been missing for months.
