Nouvel Catholic Central kept clawing back, but the Panthers could never quite get over the top.

After four quarters and two overtimes, Michigan Lutheran Seminary finally prevailed with a 47-45 Tri-Valley Conference Blue boys basketball showdown Friday.

Nouvel trailed 24-20 going into the fourth quarter but outscored the Cardinals,12-8, to send the game into overtime. Both teams scored eight points in the overtime to force a second overtime.

Seminary outscored the Panthers, 7-5, in the second overtime for the win.

Andrew Miller paced the 5-0 Cardinals with 20 points, including 10 in the first quarter. Noah Reif followed with 15 points and five rebounds. Kobe Box scored 17 points to lead 1-2 Nouvel, with Sean Foley adding 13 points.
