WATERBURY, Conn. (WFSB) - A water main break has left tens of thousands of Connecticut residents without water on early Saturday morning.
Residents in three cities and towns are now being told to conserve water.
City officials told Eyewitness News every part of Waterbury has been affected and several surrounding towns still don’t have water.
Crews have been working tirelessly since Wednesday to get this water main break repaired.
City leaders told us city there’s no clear timeline for when repairs will be complete or when water service will fully return.
Repair crews have blocked off Thomaston Avenue from Manville Street to Boyden Street as work continues.
Teams are taking a closer look at the city’s older pipes and officials said that assessment takes time.
