C onventionally, management programmes in India have relied on English — the language of business and upward mobility — as the sole medium of instruction. But, in a country where over around 1.3 billion people speak more than 22 scheduled languages and hundreds of regional dialects, the exclusivity of English in MBA classrooms creates both opportunities and challenges.
