Syracuse, N.Y. - A man was stabbed in the head and another suffered blunt force trauma to the head following an altercation in Syracuse’s Meadowbrook neighborhood on Friday night, police say.

Around 10:10 p.m., Syracuse Police were called to the 100 block of Blossom Road for a stabbing, according to Sgt. Tom Blake, a spokesperson for the department.

Syracuse.com | The Post-Standard saw four police cars and a crime scene unit van at the location around 10:50 p.m.

Officers found a 23-year-old male with a stab wound to the head at the scene, Blake said. He was taken to Upstate University Hospital for treatment.

His injuries are considered non-life-threatening, and he is expected to recover, Blake said.
