Lionel Messi’s Kolkata stop on the GOAT Tour descended into chaos on Saturday as frustrated fans created unrest at Salt Lake Stadium. Supporters, who had paid high prices for tickets, began throwing bottles and tried to break through gates between the stands after the Argentine star left the venue earlier than expected.

Several fans also damaged property at the stadium, blaming poor event management. Messi arrived at around 11:15 am and remained at the venue for nearly 30 minutes. Although the 2022 World Cup winner was expected to take a complete lap of the stadium, the plan was dropped due to the disorder.
