The Commission for Air Quality Management’s (CAQM) Sub-Committee Saturday imposed measures under Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP) stage IV in Delhi and nearby regions amid worsening air quality in the capital. The GRAP IV measures have been imposed with immediate effect as the air quality index (AQI) in Delhi slips in the ‘severe plus’ category.

The AQI in Delhi was recorded at 478 at around 7 pm on Saturday, according to the data released by Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB). Stage IV of GRAP is implemented when the air quality index in Delhi breaches the 450-mark.
