Resident Evil Requiem , aka Resident Evil 9 , aka the 10th main entry in Capcom's long-running survival horror franchise, has finally confirmed the return of fan-favourite protagonist Leon S Kennedy in a brand-new trailer.

Leon started off as a rookie cop thrown into a zombie nightmare in Resi 2 , before cementing his iconic status as a wise-cracking government agent in Resi 4 . He was also playable in Resi 6, before sitting out the most recent two entries.

But now the rumours and speculation have been proven correct, as The Game Awards trailer showed us that not only is Leon back as part of the story, but he's a playable character with an upgraded moveset.
