WAKE COUNTY, N.C. (WTVD) -- Authorities are looking for a vehicle involved in a deadly hit-and-run in Wake County.

Around 6:30 p.m., North Carolina State Highway Patrol responded to NC-98 near Peed Road Thursday.

Investigators said a driver was traveling westbound when they hit a pedestrian and left the scene. The victim was identified as Phillip Keith Spence, 61, of Wake Forest, who died at the scene.

The suspect's vehicle is described as a late 90s or early 2000s Ford Econoline Van or F-250. It likely has damage to the right front.
