An emotional farewell rose to the forefront of the Perry County Commissioners’ Dec. 1 meeting. Area Agency on Aging Director Alyson Thebes is resigning after 12 years of service.
Thebes thanked the board for giving her the autonomy to advocate for seniors and praised the cooperation among county departments. County solicitor Bunt added his own remarks, calling her work exceptional and noting that Perry County’s older residents have benefited greatly from her leadership.
Bids for two county vehicles — a truck with a snowplow and a van — were read by Bunt. They ranged from $612.24 to $1,826.55. No awards were issued and final decisions are pending.
Commissioners approved appointments to the Tri-County Regional Planning Commission for the 2026-2027 term, naming James H. Turner, Tom Graupen
