Charlton ended Birmingham City’s four-game winning streak at St Andrew’s @ Knighthead Park by cancelling out Christoph Klarer’s header to seal a 1-1 draw.
Klarer put Blues in front at half-time but Charlton substitute Tyreece Campbell scored midway through the second half to cut their run of five straight defeats.
A goal from Jay Stansfield separated the two teams when they met in February and Blues’ talisman went closest to opening the scoring inside the first 20 minutes. The ball dropped invitingly to Stansfield on the edge of Charlton’s box and the striker’s ferocious half-volley flew just wide of the post.
Demarai Gray went closer to finding the net with a powerful strike from 25 yards that cannoned back off the foot of the post. Charlton keeper Thomas Kaminski
