TEXAS — Abraham Quintanilla Jr., the father of the late Tejano superstar Selena Quintanilla, has died.
His son, A.B. Quintanilla III, made the announcement about his father's death on social media Saturday morning.
Quintanilla Jr., who served as Selena's manager, has strived to keep his daughter's legacy alive –– after she was killed in a 1995 shooting.
He also worked as a producer for multiple docu-series and movies.
One could often see Quintanilla Jr. at the Selena Museum in Corpus Christi, talking to guests about her life and his own journey in the music industry.
He was 86 years old.
