Over the years, Back to the Future fans have pointed out a host of different plot holes in Marty McFly's journey through American history. Why don't Marty's parents realize he looks exactly like Calvin Klein from their high school days? Why can't Doc Brown make gasoline in the Old West ? Why doesn't Marty recognize Doc's address in 1955, despite both properties being on the same land?
Some of these inconsistencies have valid explanations, while others remain difficult to account for. Very few Back to the Future plot holes , however, erase an entire movie from the trilogy.
