SAN ANTONIO — A wrong-way crash on the northeast side early Saturday left one driver dead and another hospitalized, according to the San Antonio Police Department.
Officers were dispatched around 2:19 a.m. to the 17000 block of Wurzbach Parkway after reports of a vehicle traveling eastbound in the westbound lanes, police said.
As officers responded, the wrong-way driver collided with a 2015 Chevrolet Cruze driven by a 29-year-old man, police said. The wrong-way driver was pronounced dead at the scene. That driver has not yet been positively identified.
The driver of the Chevrolet Cruze was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, according to police.
The investigation remains active and information is subject to change, police said.
