A comedian announced his resignation from a BBC radio show ahead of a performance in Manchester.
Robin Ince, who has co-hosted the Infinite Monkey Cage with Oldham's Brian Cox, said his resignation from the Radio 4 show was “the saddest day of my professional life”. He made the announcement to the audience during a recording of the show at the Niamos centre in Hulme last night (December 12).
The 56-year-old claimed that his opinions outside of the BBC, including expressing support for the trans community, had been 'considered problematic'. He said it “broke my heart” to choose to resign.
