Michigan State basketball's first road test of the season wasn't easy, as the Spartans blew two separate 10-point leads to Penn State on Saturday, Dec. 13, but ultimately found a way to win, 76-72.

The Spartans looked strong early, but coach Tom Izzo seemed determined to tinker with lineups from the start. His first decision, starting transfer Divine Ugochukwu at shooting guard for the first time, worked to perfection as he finished with 23 points, a career-high, and was the team's leading scorer, making timely shots all game.
