STEHEKIN, Wash. — Due to heavy rain forecast for Monday, the Chelan County Sheriff’s Office is issuing an evacuation order for the Stehekin Valley.
Officials warn slide areas could move again and that creeks and drainages are expected to rise.
Those with access to Purple Point are recommended to take the 1:30 ferry today or Sunday.

Several roads in Stehekin, a small town on the north end of Lake Chelan, have been blown out by flooding and debris flows, Chelan County Sheriff Mike Morrison told KING 5 on Thursday night.
An estimated 8-10 inches of rain fell in the area.
Those debris slides occurred on burn scars left over from the 2024 Pioneer Fire, which burned more than 37,000 acres.
