Canadian snowboarder Kaylie Buck earned World Cup silver in the women's parallel giant slalom event on Saturday in Cortina d'Ampezzo, Italy.

The Oakville, Ont., native finished with a time of one minute 17.35 seconds.

Austria's Sabine Payer (1:15.99) defeated Buck to grab gold.
