Jammu Tawi: The Army has intensifies patrols in the higher reaches of the Jammu region to prevent infiltration and maintain constant vigil over sensitive areas along the Line of Control (LoC) even as there has been absence of heavy snowfall.
Officials told news agency, that the Army has strengthened its presence along high ridges, dense forests, and mountain passes — regions that usually become inaccessible after heavy snowfall.
According to officials, this is part of the Army’s winter security plan. During the cold season, fog, mist, and reduced civilian movement can create favourable conditions for terrorist activity,” they said.
