MT. CLEMENS, MI - A Detroit rapper will now face a felony drug charge in the Macomb County Circuit Court.
Casada Sorrell, also known as Detroit rapper Sada Baby, waived his preliminary exam and was bound over to circuit court on a possession of controlled substance charge, according to Macomb County Prosecutor Peter J. Lucido.
Sorrell is charged with possession of controlled substances less than 25 grams, a 4-year felony.
He also has a notice for being a third-time habitual offender which can increase punishment at sentencing.
Sterling Heights Police conducted a traffic stop of 33-year-old Sorrell in January.
As Sorrell was being taken into custody on an outstanding warrant, officers allegedly saw a bag of pills in Sorrell’s driver-side door pocket.
