STOCKBRIDGE TWP, Mich. (WILX) -A 42-year-old Lansing man was rescued from a burning vehicle Friday night after crashing into a tree on M-52, according to the Ingham County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies were dispatched at approximately 8:23 p.m. to a single-vehicle crash on M-52 near Topping Road in Stockbridge Township. According to officials, the vehicle left the roadway and struck a tree before catching fire, with the driver trapped inside.
A Stockbridge officer and an Ingham County deputy who were in the area arrived within one minute of the crash. The officers pulled the driver out through the passenger side window.
The vehicle became fully engulfed in flames three minutes after the driver was pulled to safety.
