ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – Universal has reached a resolution with the family of Kevin Rodriguez Zavala, who died in September after riding the Epic-Universe roller coaster Stardust Racers , according to the family’s legal team.
A statement shared Saturday by Ben Crump Law described “an amicable resolution” in the matter, as well as that the terms of said resolution are confidential.
“The family is grateful for the community’s support and asks for privacy at this time,” the statement reads, in part.
Thirty-two-year-old Kevin Rodriguez Zavala died Sept. 17 after riding Stardust Racers, a 133-foot-tall roller coaster at Epic Universe , Universal Orlando’s newest theme park . He was pronounced dead at a hospital after being found unresponsive in his restraint .
