The Seahawks signed tight end Eric Saubert to a one-year contract extension on Saturday. Saubert was activated from injured reserve on Saturday, after missing six games with a calf injury. The veteran tight end signed with Seattle during free agency in March.

Saubert brings a veteran presence and depth to Seattle's tight end group. He was a fifth-round pick in 2017 and began his career with the Falcons, and spent time with Chicago, Jacksonville, Denver, Dallas, Houston and San Francisco.

After Saubert was designated to return to practice this week, Cooper Kupp said, "Saub (Eric Saubert) is the man. Got some great vibery about him, the confidence that he brings.
