COLUMBUS, Ohio — Michigan has hired a law firm, Jenner & Block, to run a full investigation of its athletic department, according to multiple reports.
The decision came after the firing of football coach Sherrone Moore this week. His situation is the latest in a series of recent scandals at Michigan.
Earlier this fall, the firm was hired to looked into Moore after the university received an anonymous tip suggesting he and a staff member were engaged in a relationship. Both parties denied the allegations.
On Wednesday, the staff member came forward to say the relationship occurred and provided evidence to back it up. Moore was fired for cause shortly thereafter.
