RICHMOND, KY — Local husband Kevin Manthei fell ill over the weekend, requiring constant care and attention from his wife Bethany, who is currently much more ill.

Mrs. Manthei shrugged off a 103-degree fever, body aches, and chills to help her husband fight through his stuffy nose.

"You poor thing," said Mrs. Manthei, bringing her husband another box of kleenex. "Look, I've made you a cup of tea and brought you the heating pad. Do you need me to run to Walgreens for you to get anything? I haven't thrown up for at least fifteen minutes, so I think I can make it."
