SILVER SPRING TOWNSHIP – It was no surprise that eight Bishop McDevitt wrestlers reached he championship finals of the PennStro Leasing Wrestling Classic at Cumberland Valley High School Saturday afternoon.
By the time the final whistle blew, three of those eight Crusaders wore gold medals and McDevitt once again hoisted the tournament’s team title trophy.
The Crusaders posted 228.5 points, ahead of second place Nazareth, who also crowned three champions, including 189-pounder Brayden Zuercher, who was named the tourney’s outstanding wrestler.
