(The Center Square) - A report by the Nevada Division of Outdoor Recreation valued Nevada’s total outdoor recreation industry at nearly four times that of federal estimates.
The $24 billion valuation comes after recent federal efforts to sell mass amounts of public lands for mining and housing development.
The report conducted by NDOR and Radbridge, an economic analysis company focused on environmental projects, found Nevada’s outdoor recreation industry was directly and indirectly worth $24 billion. That figure also in
NDOR also found the outdoor recreation industry in Nevada was spread across a number of more specific industries, activities and geographies.
