Mikel Arteta labelled Arsenal ’s late defending as “horrible” and “unacceptable” as they scraped past Wolves .

A 94th minute own goal from Wolves defender Yerson Mosquera handed Arsenal a 2-1 win that moves them five points clear of Manchester City at the top of the Premier League .

Arteta, however, was not happy with the performance after his side so nearly threw away all three points .

A Sam Johnstone own goal had put Arsenal on course to claim the victory - but Tolu Arokodare equalised in the 90th minute.

The Gunners rallied to get the win they craved against the Premier League ’s worst team this season, however Arteta was unhappy with how his side saw out the game.

“It was a relief, but a very clear understanding that the margin should have been bigger,” said Arteta.
