San Jose police said a pedestrian was pronounced dead following a hit-and-run crash early Saturday morning.

Officers responded to the area of N. 1st Street and Technology Place just before 2 a.m. to investigate a hit-and-run crash involving a pedestrian, according to police.

Authorities reported the pedestrian involved in the crash was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police said this is an ongoing investigation. No suspect vehicle description has been provided.
