WIGGINS, Miss. (WLOX) - Driving down Highway 49 through Wiggins, your eyes might be drawn to the Christmas tree that now towers above every other in the state.

“You feel really small up next to this tree,” administrative pastor’s wife Ashley Dudeck said. “So, it’s just a lot of lights, and it’s a lot of fun.”

For over a year, volunteers at Word Alive Revival Center have been planning to break the previous record and build the state’s tallest Christmas tree.

“Some of our guys were like, ‘Well, what’s the tallest one in Mississippi to date?’ And so, I told them what it was, and they said, ‘I think we’re gonna break that.’ And they started planning last year and they’ve been working for months to make sure it was a reality,” Dudeck said.
