Police are looking for a "male dressed in black" after a deadly shooting inside a Brown University building on Saturday.

Police released a video of the person wanted in the shooting late Saturday.

Cmdr. Tim O'Hara urged the public to stay out of the area as law enforcement searched for the shooter .

The incident occurred shortly after 4 p.m. inside the Barus & Holley engineering building, where exams were scheduled. O'Hara said the suspect is believed to have exited the building through the Hope Street exit.

"Preliminarily, all we have is a suspect that was a male, dressed in black. It is unknown how he entered the building," O'Hara said. "We are using every resource possible to find this suspect."
